Two-tier system AI?

Will there soon be a two-tier system for AI? If Open AI has its way, then yes. The hefty price of 200 dollars per month for the Pro version indicates this.

But will it be feasible? Will a government or organisation perhaps provide an open source model for everyone? Then it will quickly be regulated again.

We have seen from the Tencent video software that open source makes a lot possible – and basically anyone with enough ambition is capable of developing outstanding software.

And with AGI, the question may no longer even arise.

I don’t think that AI is ‘a question of money’ anyway, whether you use it to make it a really useful tool. It’s intelligence and imagination. It’s just a lot more than the pessimists of the future say, who degrade Open AI to a ‘horoscope chatbot’, for example. The future belongs to the intelligent, the curious, the inquisitive and also the ‘lazy’. And that has always been the case. And they will always find a way to use the ‘better’ AI
